Hey Fam, I am so excited to share with you that we are going to host you soon, specifically on Saturday 21st November 2026 at the Akker in Hilversum from 11:00 AM-7:00 PM through our event The Afro-Hairitage event.

We shall be  bringing together around 150 community members to celebrate Afro-textured hair, culture and fashion through practical hair workshops, community connection, entertainment (live dance performance, afro and afro Caribbean music), professional portrait photography and unlimited amount of traditional afrikan food, snacks and drinks.

This is going to be a platform for cultural pride, creativity and networking. You are going to have so much fun!

The event is intentionally designed around three connected pillars:

(1) LEARN – participants gain practical knowledge on styling, hair care and maintaining braids and other protective styles and basically learn everything about Afro hair from experts.

(2) DISCOVER – meet hair professionals and explore a curated marketplace of Afro hair, beauty, fashion and lifestyle product and also people from our communities.

(3) CELEBRATE – a professional face-portrait experience that captures your hair, style and individuality, Networking and community building. Dance festival that includes dancing to traditional African music and as well salsa and kizomba dance
